Metal halide ballast kits are made to operate metal halide lamps and keep them running properly.
1500W Metal Halide Ballasts to replace existing core and coil ballasts for this popular lamp. These are for Metal Halide1500 lamps and have everything you need to replace your ballast. These come in a multi-tap voltage of 120, 208, 240, 277 or a 480-volt version. This is the highest wattage Metal Halide that you can get, and this ballast is made to replace that with all the components that you need including the hardware. This ballast put off a lot of heat, and that makes them susceptible over time to failure. These will probably need to be changed out more often than lower wattage ballasts. But when you do change them, your system is restored to 100 percent light output, and it's almost like having a brand-new lighting fixture again. Typically, these often run off the very highest voltage when used for sports lighting, high mast lighting and other types of applications like these. Sometimes people need a quantity and when that happens, give us a call, and we can give you special pricing related to that quantity. These tend to be a little more expensive than the lower wattages, and a lot of that has to do with the coil that is within them which is very large and is copper. Keep in mind that none of the Metal Halide ballast that you see on our website is interchangeable, they never are. They are made specifically for one wattage alone; no ballast is made that is shared between different wattages. It does not exist. So we need to make sure that you have the right ballast for the right wattage and then make sure that your voltage is correct as well.
